Migration rationale
The native client reduced the number of packaged runtime components and allowed process lifetime, local storage and Tor integration to be handled directly in the Windows application. This changed the operational surface; it did not remove the need for protocol and endpoint review.
Observed implementation differences
During local comparison, the WPF build used less resident memory than the earlier Electron package and exposed a smaller process tree. Those measurements were environment-specific and should not be generalized as a benchmark. Explicit shutdown handling was added for child processes and in-memory session material.
Limitations
Managed-runtime clearing calls can reduce the lifetime of selected buffers but do not prove complete erasure across copies, operating-system paging or hardware layers. Likewise, changing the client framework does not by itself prevent tracking or compromise. The document is archived as an architectural transition record.
