Verification context

This review revisited previously reported implementation issues after a set of repository changes. The verification combined targeted source inspection with the automated checks available in that repository state.

What was checked

  • Key-derivation inputs and separation between authentication and encryption contexts.
  • Ephemeral-key handling in the reviewed ECDH exchange.
  • WebSocket message validation and selected failure paths.
  • Regression coverage for the specific issues previously recorded.

The available test suite completed successfully during the review. A separate build-path regression was also observed and recorded, illustrating that passing security tests did not imply that the complete release process was healthy.

Interpretation and limits

The result is evidence about a defined set of changes and tests, not a certification of the protocol or every execution environment. The record is archived because later architectural work superseded this implementation.
