Scope

The review followed the registration request from client rendering through server validation. It focused on whether the SVG challenge and hidden form field meaningfully constrained scripted account creation.

Observation

The challenge encoded enough structure for a purpose-built client to recover or predict the expected response in the tested version. The honeypot field could also be omitted by a client that submitted requests directly rather than interacting with the rendered form.

Controlled verification

A limited proof of concept reproduced registration without destructive volume or impact to unrelated accounts. The result showed a bypass of that anti-automation layer; it did not, by itself, demonstrate compromise of existing accounts or a general server takeover.

Recommendation

Registration controls should combine server-enforced rate limits, abuse monitoring and operational response. A visual challenge may add friction, but it should not be treated as the sole control against coordinated account creation.
