Password storage
The reviewed change replaced the earlier password-hashing configuration with Argon2id and documented its memory, iteration and parallelism parameters. Parameter selection should be revisited against the actual deployment budget and current guidance rather than treated as permanent.
Registration controls
The visible SVG challenge was removed in favor of a low-friction honeypot and server-side checks. This reduces interface complexity, but a honeypot remains only one signal. Rate limits, telemetry and abuse response are still required for sustained automation.
Rendered mathematics
The content pipeline constrained KaTeX output and applied DOMPurify around the rendering boundary. The relevant security property depends on configuration, allowed protocols, library versions and every path that can introduce HTML; applying sanitization twice is not a substitute for validating those details.
Deployment record
An infrastructure specification was added to make the reviewed service configuration explicit. This is a dated implementation record and does not assert that the referenced repository or deployment is currently public, reachable or unchanged.
